Evgeny Kissin is a loyal participant at BCN Clàssics and returns for the fifth time to offer a new concert to his Barcelona public. On this occasion, he has chosen a programme featuring a selection of great composers: Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Myaskovsky.
And who could not be overlooked is his beloved Frédéric Chopin, with five of his mazurkas. The composer composed a total of fifty-eight, some of them published posthumously. Infused with rich thematic inspiration and harmonic subtlety, they are based on three Polish folk dances.
