With tickets practically sold out, the audience at the Palau de la Música was able to experience a wonderful tribute to Mozart last night.

The Bach Collegium Japan made their debut at BCN Clàssics performing the 'Symphony No. 40' under the direction of Masato Suzuki.

The 'Requiem Mass' opened a second part that was received with applause by maestro Masaaki Suzuki. A version of the work completed by his own son, featured soloists Carolyn Sampson, Marianne Beate Kielland, Shimon Yoshida and Dominik Wörner to join the choir of the orchestra itself.

The short 'Ave verum Corpus', again under the direction of Masato, closed a splendid night for lovers of the great Austrian master.
