Celebrating 10 years of BCN Clàssics

This 25/26 season is very special for us because we are celebrating 10 years by your side. A decade committed to the highest quality and musical excellence in our concerts in the city of Barcelona. To celebrate, we will enjoy an exquisite program with some of the best conductors and soloists in the world, with internationally prestigious orchestras, to perform outstanding works from the universal repertoire and by great composers. We will celebrate this tenth edition at both L'Auditori and the Palau de la Música Catalana, with eleven concerts divided between these two emblematic halls.

Social and political context

The visit of two great conductors committed to the current social and political context will be one of the highlights of the season. Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the Joven Orquesta Nacional de Venezuela, one of the groups of El Sistema which, since 1975, has been one of the largest social and musical organizations in the world. Zubin Mehta, in a concert in tribute to his 90th birthday, will be at the head of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, a group created by Edward W. Said and Daniel Barenboim to promote the peace process between Jews and Palestinians.

The great legends of classical music

Other renowned figures who will accompany us will be Marta Argerich and Charles Dutoit, together with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, who will perform for the first time in the city of Barcelona. And the long-awaited return of Sir John Eliot Gardiner with his new project, The Constellation Orchestra, one of the flagship ensembles of Springhead Constellation, which will be the second time it will be presented in Barcelona.

Regular guests stars

Who couldn't miss this celebration is Evgeni Kissin, undoubtedly one of the most brilliant soloists of the current classical music arena, after two consecutive years selling out tickets. The baroque footprint will once again be in charge of Le Concert d'Astrée and Emmanuelle Haïm; and the ADDA Simfònica Alicante and Josep Vicent will star in the BCN Clàssics Christmas Concert with two great classics: Swan Lake and The Nutcracker.

The stars of today

Two award-winning pianists will make their debuts, Bruce Liu, 1st prize at the International Frédéric Chopin Competition (2021), and Martín García García, 1st prize at the Cleveland International Competition (2021). The importance of the violin will be highlighted with the female talent of María Dueñas and Alexandra Conunova, and with Michael Barenboim, considered one of today's great contemporary violinists. The voice will also play a prominent role with renowned soloists such as Anna Prohaska, and the union of Carlo Vistoli and Emőke Baráth.
