Last night we celebrated the 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic's 50th anniversary with a concert full of very diverse rhythms and sounds, and key pieces by great composers.

Current musicians of one of the most important orchestras in the world, they won the sympathy of the audience at the Palau de la Música Catalana with their own explanations of the works and the festive atmosphere they generated.

Julius Kengel, John Williams, Nino Rota and Juan Tiziol were some of the names that starred in the first part. To continue later with the great Edith Piaff, Horacio Salgán, Astor Piazzolla, among others.

After long applause, they gave us three encores to close a great night of celebration: the soundtrack of the Pink Panther by Henry Mancini, Yesterday by The Beatles and the essential El cant dels ocells by Pau Casals.
