On March 19th, we announced our 25/26 season, a very special milestone with the celebration of our tenth anniversary. A decade committed to the highest quality and musical excellence in the city of Barcelona. An edition that will be held both at L’Auditori and at the Palau de la Música Catalana, with eleven concerts divided between these two emblematic venues. The Km0 cycle also remains firm, with a total of five dates starring local performers and works of heritage recovery and new creation.
We will be visited by two great conductors committed to the current social and political context: Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the Sinfónica Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela; and Zubin Mehta at the head of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. Other legends of classical music who will accompany us will be Marta Argerich and Charles Dutoit, together with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. And the long-awaited return of Sir John Eliot Gardiner with his new project, The Constellation Orchestra.
And today's stars such as violinists María Dueñas, Alexandra Conunova and Michael Barenboim; and singers such as Anna Prohaska, and the union of Carlo Vistoli and Emőke Baráth. In the pianist world, Evgeny Kissin could not be missing, and two award-winning soloists such as Bruce Liu and Martín García García will also make their debut.
Great orchestras with great conductors. Opening the season with Andrés Orozco-Estrada and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI; continuing with the transoceanic tour of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Gustavo Gimeno; and with Jaime Martín at the helm of the BBC National Wales Orchestra.
Season tickets now on sale. For single tickets, you will have to wait until May 19.
